About Our Coaching Practice

Sacred Flourish Coaching & Wellness is not a licensed psychologist, therapist, counselor, or medical professional practice. We do not diagnose mental health conditions, provide therapy, or prescribe medication. Coaching is a collaborative process focused on personal growth, goal-setting, and development.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed mental health professional, your physician, or call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) in the United States.

Coach & Client Confidentiality Agreement

This agreement outlines the commitment to confidentiality between the coach and client pursuant to applicable state and federal laws.

1. Confidentiality Commitment

The coach agrees to keep all information shared by the client confidential and will not disclose any information without the client’s written consent, except as required or permitted by law. Confidentiality includes, but is not limited to, personal, emotional, financial, spiritual, and professional matters discussed during coaching sessions.

2. Legal and Ethical Framework

This agreement is guided by the following laws and ethical standards:

  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) — Applies to protected health information.
  • Federal Confidentiality Laws — Including, but not limited to, 42 CRR Part 2 (substance use information) and FERPA (educational records, when applicable).
  • State Confidentiality Laws — Client privacy laws vary by state and will be honored in accordance with the state in which services are provided.
  • International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics — Upholds client confidentiality, professional integrity, and ethical coaching practices.

3. Limits of Confidentiality

Confidentiality may be broken only in the following situations:

  • If there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.
  • In the event of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation (as required by law).
  • If required by a court order, subpoena, or other legal process.
  • For business operations, de-identified information may be used for training or supervision purposes.

4. Client Understanding

While your coach will protect your confidentiality to the fullest extent allowed by law, there are legal and ethical limits. Coaching is not therapy, medical care, or legal advice.

This informed consent ensures you understand the nature and scope of our coaching relationship.

1. Nature of Services

Coaching is a non-clinical partnership designed to help you clarify goals, overcome obstacles, and create action toward a more fulfilling life.
